Our Story
The Chai Hut was created as a place in northeast Calgary where people can slow down, connect and enjoy authentic Indian chai with comforting street food. We opened in Skyview Ranch so neighbours would have a warm local chai café close to home.
Whether it's a quick morning masala chai, an afternoon coffee or an evening karak with friends, our goal is to make every visit feel warm and welcoming — a corner of Country Hills Blvd NE to call your own.
Our Chai Philosophy
Great chai isn't rushed. We believe in taking the time to brew it right — real spices, warm milk and a little patience. Masala cutting, karak, adrak, elaichi and kesar are simmered the way chai was always meant to be enjoyed.
Then we build a café around that cup: parathas, chaats, samosas, burgers and sweets, so a chai break in Calgary can turn into a meal, a meeting or a quiet hour by the window.
